The knee joints are highly mobile joints that are weight-bearing. They are therefore prone to injuries

There are several things you can do to help maintain the health and function of your knees:

1 Maintain a healthy weight: Extra weight puts additional stress on your knees, which can lead to wear and tear and increase the risk of injury.

2 Exercise regularly: Regular physical activity can help strengthen the muscles around your knees and improve your range of motion. Low-impact activities such as swimming and cycling are good options.

3 Wear proper shoes: Wearing shoes with good support and cushioning can help reduce the stress on your knees. Avoid high heels and choose shoes with a low heel and good arch support.

4 Stretch before and after exercise: Stretching before and after exercise can help improve flexibility and reduce the risk of injury.

5 Take breaks: If you have a job or hobby that involves kneeling or squatting for long periods of time, take breaks to stand up and stretch your legs.

6 Use good posture: Good posture can help reduce the stress on your knees. Stand up straight and keep your feet shoulder-width apart.

7 Avoid activities that put excessive strain on your knees: Avoid high-impact activities such as running on concrete or jumping if you have knee pain or are prone to knee injuries.

8 Use proper technique when lifting: When lifting heavy objects, bend your knees and keep the object close to your body to reduce the strain on your knees.

Consult a doctor: If you have persistent knee pain or are experiencing other problems with your knees, it is a good idea to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment.
